It’s 6 am in Lowell. The snow fall is moderate, the temperature is 15 degrees, there’s a slight wind, and there’s only an inch of snow on the ground so far. Through the day, send us your observations and experiences in the storm.

Feels like December, that’s about it. I fell asleep on the couch and woke up at 3am and it hadn’t started yet
Looks like about 6 inches here in the Highlands by the time it ended.
Back in October, it seemed like a good idea to buy tickets for today’s matinee of “Mama Mia” at the Colonial Theater in Boston as an anniversary gift. The drive in at noon wasn’t too bad. The highways were all snow covered by people kept their speeds down to 40 mph or lower. We parked in the underground garage at the Boston Common which was beautiful in the snow. The show was terrific and the walk back through the Common was fun as the colored lights on all the trees reflected off the snow. Even though the highways were all clear of any snow or slush, the drive home was tricky because the salt-tinted snow melt that continuously plastered the windshield made visibility not so good. Overall, it was a great day.
DC officially got the biggest December storm ever this weekend in terms of accumulation at National Airport. Some places in the vicinity had a full two feet fall in a single day.
