Shawn, the Twitter dip comes mostly because Facebook reformatted itself to give the same sort of short “Tweet”-style updates. Good for them — I use Facebook daily but barely ever use Twitter now because I can sort of do it all via Facebook and don’t have a need for Twitter.
The Tisei choice is of course highly interesting and has got a lot of the Massachusetts GOP tied up in knots. It appeals to me — I’m pro-gay, anti-death penalty, pro-gun control, and reluctantly pro-choice…so I’m not exactly a Republican. But I’m also very opposed to one-party rule and a wee bit conservative on defense and spending issues, so I’m sort of in no-man’s-land politically.
I’ll probably vote for Gov. Patrick next fall but haven’t decided for sure yet..in the meantime, I’m just glad to see a social moderate in Charlie Baker on the “R” side of the ticket.
