The Sun has reported Tewksbury election results on its website. In the race for two seats on the Board of Selectmen newcomer Scott Wilson topped the ballot in an historic win with 2511 votes followed by incumbent David Gay at 1584 - longtime School Committee member Scott Consaul followed at 1240with Chris McMillan garnering 963 votes. On the schoolside - parent and freelance writer Jayne Miller topped the race for two open seats on the School Committee with 2285 votes followed by parent activist Dennis Francis at 1969 - Bill Deignan trailed with 897 votes. Also - winning seats on the Board of Health were veteran incumbent Ed Sheehan and Mary Ellen Fernald with Library Trustee incumbent Paul Fortunato keeping his seat joined by newcomer Patricia Pinto. Rick O’Neill was unopposed in his bid to continue to fill-out the term of former School Committee member Keith Rauseo. Pundits will surely have an interesting analysis of these results as Tewksbury faces serious financial decisions with long-range repercussions especially on the school-side.
