RNC/DNC backdrops

This is a video of George W Bush’s acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention in 2004. It is pretty long, but take a look at the first minute or so. Check out the backdrop behind Bush…It is made up of large Grecian Columns. And the stage is round protruding away from the president’s entrance area…sound familiar? After listening to the far right describe the Obamaopolis for the past week, I am sure this does sound familar. To quote Shakspeare…”The eye sees not itself, but by reflection”.
The difference is the Bush was already the President at the time. The columns were more reflective of the White House that the Obamacropilis
I do have a serious politicaly stratigic question. Why does the DNC (at least the last three including this one) happen before the RNC?
Everyone knows that after the conventions the candidate gets a “bounce” so why allow the republicans the ability to “bounce” back? Not to mention the problem the democrats ran into in 2004 where Kerry couldn’t spend money like Bush.
Being first doesn’t always mean being right!
